I' m an Indian girl married for more than 1 year.My mother in law is causing too many misunderstandings between me & my husband.Please advise me if my husband can divorce me on the ground that:

1.) My in-laws don' t like me.

2.) I don' t get along well with my mother in law & can' t live with her in future.She is presently living separately from us as we are settled abroad but wants to settle down with us permanently.

I would also like to add that she subjected me immensely to mental cruelty because of possessiveness about her son. sad in life replied. Hey thanks for ur reply.However I dint say that I WANT TO DIVORCE MY HUSBAND.i asked if he can divorce me on the grounds which i stated in my previous query.I asked this since my MIL is such a big bully that i lost all my self esteem,confidence & became so stressed that i was on a verge of a breakdown.and top of that she wants to come & settle down permanently with us abroad.My hubby,although he knows her v.well can' t resist her & is afraid that if he doesn' t listen to her,she gets a BP at the drop of a hat & lands in ICU.And she' s so ferocious that she even looks at me very wildly,sending shivers down the spine,while in front of him she behaves as if she loves me a lot.But when others are not there,she will even lock me in the house.and nobody believes my stories. gg replied. have u gone mad ?

tell me one eg where mil likes her dil..my dear even if u cut ut throat b4 her she wont like u ..she will say chi the color of her blood was so dirty . she wud hv died soem other way...she will bring out 1 ..one problem looking at ur dead body also...pls gv up hopes n make ur relation with ur husband stron g it will take lot of time n patience too just like taking care of ur small baby u hv to pay attention ur hubby and gain his confience any how ..
if ur ablt to do this half of ur battle is won ...n then u won t pay attention to ur mil...
trust me mil can only harasss u but she cant get u divorced from ur husband never ..
best advice i can gv ur is try to go thru every1 problem on this board little idea u will get how to handle her ...
but pls dont think of leaving hubby that too for character called mil..yuck ...may god bless u i pray for u that ur husband starts caring for u...he is ur husband and ur his better half..madam wake up open ur eyes don t be frighten of ur mil n that too she doesnt stay with u ur so lucky...
what will you do when she comes to live with u?
go thru all the problm we girls are facing on this bored u will realise what we have gone thru ....
who cares my dear that ur mil doesnt like u ur husband' s love is more im p than her ...pls dont waste ur time in winning her ..instead try to win ur husband' s love
