Hi.I' m a Indian Hindu girl married last year in Delhi & then went to UAE after marriage.My husband who is the only child of his over possessive parents sends them a major part of his monthly salary, who control his money like hell & are hypersensitive that I may stop him from sending money in future.I came to India in between and did further studies.My husband paid almost 50,000/- Rs. for my studies.Now I have found a job in the UAE.But now my husband & my in-laws are forcing me to also send them a big part of my own monthly income while I wish to financially support my own parents who are facing financial difficulties.This is causing tensions & my in-laws say that since my husband spent on my education,so only he & my in-laws have the right over my earnings.My husband says that if I support my parents,he will never spend money on me in future.I want to add that my husband holds a joint account with my father-in-law in India from where money was funded for my studies.

I want to know if I' m legally bound to send my monthly earnings to parent in-laws?What does the law say?Please advise.I' m sad.If we have any lawyers on this board,please advise. rita replied. start paying that 50000 rupees which ur hubby spent on ur education in monthly installment from ur salary. it may take years but u ll never ever have hear that comment again after its fully paid. DO NOT GIVE FULL/PORTION OF UR SALALRY TO ILS. PERIOD. ignore their constant remarks n complains abt u not giving salalry to them. spend ur money on paying back ur hubby, on ur own expenses and ur parents. calmly tell ur hubby that this is the way u ll be spending ur money. thats it. donot give in. in laws appear greedy. even if ur hubby is ataking their side, stand affirm. do keep us posted with updates. gg replied. let them kill u but dont gv that money to them from ur income..keep all themoney safe with u for ur future..

I don' t knw much about law but that i m very sure of that u can support ur parents & anyone else u wish to with ur earnings. No one can object to it legally. But i will say talk with ur husband an open one and try to make him understand see ur side of story. If he does not understamd then try to repay money he has spend on u by check to his account . so that in furure he could not blame u for not returning it. & u can certainly support ur parents
