hi

i moved here from the march 2007 board. i did the ultrasound today.the uterus is clear and shows nothing remaining.

the doctor said i have a big chocolate cyst on my left ovary and that is the probable reason why i havent been able to conceive for a year. also as of now she sees some folicles growing on the ovaries today being day 6. i had bleeding for 4days. two days being very heavy and the next two being as in a normal cycle.

do i need to go in for a laproscopy to remove the cyst or should i start infertility reatments? the doctor suggested clomid tablets from next cycle and then maybe IUI.

kindly advice

Mamta,
your right ovary is fine and have 50% chances of success. Besides it only be only one ovary that will release egg in a cycle not both.

I would suggest to go ahead with clomid and IUI and see if you hit success before planning on laproscopy. If you get regular menses suggest normal ovulation pattern and you may not require laproscopy.
