Trying since long:Archite - My Update

Hi Archie and all,

This is my second month of Clomid (first 50 mg and last month was 100 mg) along with glucophage. My doc called me this morning with the progesterone level test results. She said it was 1.5 lower than the last. She said I did not ovulate this cycle. She said that this month would be the last cycle that she will be trying Clomid and then she will refer me to an infertility specialist. I am very low and extremely worried. Is it possible that some cycles you don’t ovulate at all? Just thought I would update you with my situation. Also I am not taking any pre natal vitamins… Just regular vitamins (Especially for Women from the Vitamin Shoppee) with folic acid. Is it necessary for me to switch to prenatals? Your comments are welcome.

Thanks,
Lubs

Lubs,
I am a little confused.
Clomid is a superovulation drug and makes one to ovulate regularly and failure to same in series of six cycles can suggest other infertility index, which would be analyzed by Reproductive endocrinology or by infertility treatment clinics.

you should have had chance to continue for four more cycles on clomid and see if it works.

Was clomid alone tried or alone glucophage or it's started in combination from the beginning? I think you will get better justice from infertility clinic.

you may have to run tests in follicular and luteal phase to see what's going on in your body and see how to cope up with.

I do not remember completely reason for choosing this combined treatment, PCOS or endometriosis?

Do not loose your hopes because that's going to work against your efforts to get pregnant. You should know that more you think more is tough to get there and easier it is when you keep your body relaxed and thus hormonal balance.

Archie

Hi,
Dont worry to see a fertility specialist.Infact Fertility specialist will find out the exact problem..
So were you diagonised with PCOS then?
(since you are on glucophage..)

Good luck!
