my elder son iz 14 yrs old n my second daughter iz 11 yrs old..my son have mental retardation prob.but he speaks well,responds well..memory loss iz his main prob.he iz studying in third std still in normal school bcuz of his memory prob..we got to know that he iz not a normal child before 7 yrs.we r very much tensed abt his future..my dd iz a very brilliant n a topranker in her class frm juniorkg.she'z in 6th std now.

as per doctor's advice we joined him in special needs training school.but he went for the first day n ran out within 2 hrs with gr88 tears n said\";plz mamma i am not going to that school..i am afraid of those kids..they are all nuts n i am scared of them\";...he very well understand that they r downsyndrome babies.his prob iz he behaves like 4 yrs old kid..doctor said his brain development iz like 4 yrs old kid..he does evverything by his own..but he cnanot rememeber anyhting more than 5 min..he cant even remember our fone number and our relatives name..and he dunt understand that others r teasing him bcuz of his behaviour.he cannot differentiate pass or fail..when his resulkts come as\";fail\"; he will ask me\";mamma i will b same class or i will go to higher class\";if i say that u will b in same class..he will go to bedroom n cry silently for 1 hr ...he iz very fussy eater weighs only 25 kg's.now he has got moush.so people now strated looking at him stargely bcuz of his childish behaviour.my dd also feels very depressed bcuz kids tease her for her elder borther being in 3rd std.

he wunt eat anything if i dunt compel him.he iz lovely boy.when he see someone n if they shows some lov for him..he will stick to them..talks always abt them.
i dunt know wat to do..more than all his main prob iz extreme fear...we joined him in yoga class,then swimming,then art of living,then horse riding..he iz not going for anyhting frm the first day..if there's any school trip he beggs me\";plz mom i am not going ..kids will beat me if i go with them\";...once his teacher beat him for not studying ...he was shivering for almost 3 days thinking abt that teacher n crying....so his over all prob iz

2)fussy eater)
3)developmental problems
4)fear

after all we cant say that he iz mentally retarted (just 20 % retardation)..wat can i do??plz throw me some light..i am expecting hetal's advice for his diet n mental support for me
