Just a view needed from all of you all.Are the kind of films or music videos or for that matter many of the TV programmes so called saas bahu serials within the limits of decency??? ,The kind of roles an elderly person like Amitabh is doing and presenting in the society good?? Who is responsible for the degradation of our rich culture.Take a little time and just give a view of yours .It may be good or bad its all up to you but as citizens of India what is ones moral responsibility.Were the earlier times better or is it now leave aside the technology,Iam talking of decency and morality.Thanks.... If everyone would think who cares then a change could never be brought.yes the kind of things ,the attire shown in such programmes are responsible to a certain extent.people want to rush always but in the due course they forget the values.the youngsters today are not that responsible or caring like people used to be a few years ago.Today China is in technology boom time but even today we find that whenever these people have family gatherings all the members unite and celebrate it irrespective of their age may be 80yrs or 17 yrs.In India this tradition is diminishing .We are trying to copy West but we do not see the inner totality in a personality.How to strike a balance between values and progress has to be maintained.It is good that somebody took some time to think on this topic too. sgfjsjksdg replied. who cares??? How can one combat this problem whose roots are deep seated.Just few people cannot unite and tackle this problem.I have seen so many callcentres girls and boys losing the level of decency,Iam also pointing that not all but yes many cross the level of decency ,i see right in front of my office it is indeed a grave problem without a solution PALI replied. Our culture is really going down day by day.All thanks to media,films,MTV,VTV and ofcourse the roles Amitabh plays.It is not at all decent for a 60+ man to play such roles,that too when his son is married ,anyway,thats his problem.But,yes technology is rising it is at boom and so is indecency.Parents too play an important role to imbibe such things.Going to pubs,Dics ,living relationships are concerned perfectly normal and if such things cross the barrier of indecency it is a big news for the media till it subsides and a new issue develops.so on and on yes our culture is going bad to worse concerned citizen1 replied. I remember more than 30 years back in my teens, I was chided for listening to then bollywood film songs as part of \" bad culture\" . Today the same music is revered as part of rich cultural heritage. So CULTURE is DYNAMIC.

I clearly remember my family elders dismissing film like deewar and sholay as extremely violent and not fit for adolescent viewing. Today those films are almost epics!

Roles of Amitabh : I wonder if you are talking about his roles in Nishabd and Cheeni Kum. That is love between unmatched ages : There have been movies in malayalam and bangla on the same subject with very different story line may be almost 20/25 yers back, so I am not so sure, if the subject should be a taboo.

Saas bahu serials : If you read the IP boards, there are plenty of bahus who are coming up with exactly serial like situations day in and day out! So they are actually real! So what are we complaining about? Of course watching them is waste of our time and the children' s.

Having said what I did above, I must agree that levels of decency and morality is going down by the day, if not by the hour! Technology and death of the community life in the absence of a discipline enforcement has led to simple co-existence not always peaceful even. We talk over the net or phone more than to our neighbours, we visit sites and chat room far more frequently than we visit our neoghbours.

Clandestine prostitution, extra marital affairs are on the overdrive! But I still do not think there are too many people worried or least thinking of any worthwhile action.
