sry for delayed reply,wanted to reply yesday but my dd was not allwng me !! so had to leave the screen..
with 25months old, and bw 3.250kgs and current wght 9.4kgs,she is underwght with around 2kgs !!!! even if i let go around 500grams,,1.5kgs is big diff,,neways,,achvable,,not a prob ! i see it wats going on !
1. start her on cows milk, 3 times a day,,,which means 3 feeds of cows milk of 5-7oz each dpndng on her intake..
2. continue bf if its not tiring it,,but i would recmnd you to wear her now,,she 25months now ! how long you will stretch it !!! upto you,,
3.now abt her schedule :
8 am bf ing /// ok,,,
8.30 am - idly/dosa/roti /// add in butter, cheese to her roti and some ghee to her dosai pwder or chutney,,make a cheese dosa,,kids love it !
9.30 - bfing /// offer cows milk here,,5-7oz in cup or glass,,train her to cup or glass...
take bath /// no problemo...
10.30 sometimes takes banana or apple juice 2 oz
bf ing //// offer other fruits as well or instead offer warm soups with lots of vegies,,, add in shredded cheese to it and some pastas to it...
1 pm- cur rice.rice with rasam,veggeies takes only little hardly 10 tsp ////
throw in more vegies in her diet, offer wheat alternatives...
bf ing n sleeps untill 5.00 pm //// offer her cows milk,,,if she prefers to bf, offer her cows milk first and thn breastfeed !
5 pm - snack time----1 egg,1 glassfresh milk,banana or any snacks////offer a sep serving milk products here,,OR offer fruit servings here instead in morning times ! add in toast with cheese spread, avacados, nuts to her snacks...
for dinner -idly/dosa/roti - 1 //// dont offer same type of food 2 times in one day !
i read in your pst that she does not eat vegies or fruits,,wat are her favs foods other than vegies and fruits,,i will try to make some recipes from it...
about not eating,,offer her variety of options, with lots of colourful ideas,,check my post on finger foods,just above your pst,,tons of options for you !
also go thru the posts where in child is above 6months,,i dont ne of those good foods in your child diet,,,so add in her diet...
apart from that :
1. make her eat with you all,,family meeal.
2. offer her chance to eat by herself.
3. make her get interstd in food with flavours, textures, colours and shapes !
4. offer her healthy alternatives and diff varieties of food instead of one type of food !
if the loss of apetite continuess, your child might get more prone to diff seasonal infections,,as body is not healthy body,,even though it looks that its an active body...
respect your child pref but at the same time make sure that your child is accepting all foods,,if not today thn tomorrow !
