Hi,

I just started taking glucophage (metformin) 2000 mg daily.. Can any body share their experience after using this drug? How long you guys used this drug to become ovulated regularly? Did u have to take clomid also? or metformin alone will work out?

I am on 1500 mg metformin (glucophage) a day. This is my third month of glucophage. I am currently on 100 mg Clomid. This is my second cycle. Nothing so far. Initially when I started glucophage, I always had a tummy upset no matter what. My doc said that my body would take some time to adapt. But now, I am fine. Hope this helps.

Glucopage is good medicine to regularise periods,i had taken almost 1 yr and hence my periods became regular i addition to that i took clomid which didnt work for me.At present iam relying only on ayurvdeic medicine ,but from past 4 months my periods are very regular0i feel its the work of glucopage.

I have been on the same medication for the last 2 months. Please so continue with your medication and do not be discouraged. Juat be relaxed and do not get stressed or worried. I take the clomid too, this is for the ovulationt o occur ( eggs to be released). The glucophage is a drug that helps you to check on the suagr levels in the body. I have lost weight a consireable amount.
