Money Matters:need solution
2008-10-15
Name: ss

I have been married for the last 10 years. Has a 5 year old school going kid. We r staying in a nuclear family. Both of us are working. Always short of time. Now the problem is that.... he is not at all cooperative. I am managing everything cooking, washing, paying bills, child' s education and other household expenses. I love doing my duties , but only the thing that i need his help and support. At times i feel like that everything is on my head and my husband is taking me granted. My case has become more or less like a single parenting. He is not giving any money for household expenses. I have spoken to him number of times on this to help me out. Every times he promises me but nothing in practical. He has taken lots of personal and credit card loans, so whatever money he earns goes in repaying those debts. I suggested him number of times to handover his salary and let me manage those debts. Sincerely i want to help him out but he is not listening to me. only good thing abt him is that he loves his daughter a lot. I have told him that atleast help me in household jobs, like getting vegetables from the market etc. But nothing is working out. He spends his whole time in the office only and on weekend at home watching tv. At times i feel totally demotivated. I can' t think of seperation because of my child. Is something lacking in me? Please help me out in finding out a solution to this problem.

Dear SS, Its Husband' s duty to take care of family . Your husband is taking you for granted bcoz You have always taken all resp. by yourself. Stop working for a few months. Cook for yourself & kid but not for your husband. If he falls ill, dont give him medicine. Stop talking to him. Share your prblem with all family friends . Tit for Tat. Stop doing all those things that your hubby needs to survive & make him feel ashamed. Its his duty to feed for his family, not yours. Do you have parents/brother living nearby ? take their help & but dont leave your house. Ask him 10-15K Rs every month or else dont cook for him. Take away all his clothes, cosmetics & spread this story to his office

Hi...

I can understand the situation...Now all you need to do is...Sit and talk to your husband cooly..It should not be a situation that you are alone managinf the situation..First of all, plan some how and try to understand the no of commitments (amount), then then try to make him understnd that you will manage everything on your own..and then ask hime the amount he gets and pay off the CC bills first...and slowly things will be alrite.

Finding Balance and Trust: Gamer Husband
I wanted to share a story from my own life that might resonate with some of you. After the birth of our child, my husband, who works incredibly hard to provide for our family, began occasionally playing at online platforms. Initially, I was nervous and unsure about how to handle this new development. I feared it might lead to conflicts or even bigger issues.

RE:Miserly In laws & Hubby
You are earning a good amount of money monthly and as you have said that your husband is also earning very well then why are you giving your money to him and why are you not questing him about his earnings as its your rights on it, please speak up on this.... - Suman [View Message]
RE:Miserly In laws & Hubby
According to me you should not act like this as this is really sad to see that your husband is treating you so badly infact you should make him understand that this is not the way you are asked to be treated and the same will continue then it will be bad for him.... - Anita [View Message]

Hello friend this is not acceptable and why are you not raising your voice against injustice on you. Please speak to your husband on this and make him feel that what he is doing is completely wrong with you and ask him directly what is the reason behind it.... - Aditi [View Message]
RE:Miserly In laws & Hubby
If the husband follows the inlawas means its very clear that he will always listen to them instead to you, in this matter i can clearly say that you are not living the life you deserve and just helping your husband in his living and earning for him.... - Sujata [View Message]
RE:Miserly In laws & Hubby
Hello dear this is really weird behave of your husband towards you, please do one thing just speak to your husband directly and ask him whether he really loves and want to spend the rest of his life with you or not. Just go and ask him upfront and see the reaction on it.... - Anaida [View Message]
