Problems in School:my 3yr old girl, please help
2006-09-02
Name: vidya

My daughter is going to nursery in a reputed school. By nature she is very friendly, but she is choosy abt making friends. she goes by bus to school. she loves the time in her school, but hates the bus ride she keeps saying some KG 1&2 boys trouble her by pulling her hair, making faces or tease her. As per her nature she does not fight them back.i spoke to the boys mothers, but she brushed it off saying its her sons nature.i complained to the school authority, they said they will look into it. i am worried how to make my girl more bolder and also am confused as to how to go about this situation, please comment

take you daughter out giving her maximum exposure interacting with people.you have to reatedly tell her not to be timid because she is small.once just scold those boys in front of your daughter so that she feels the power.it it still doesnt work then look for another means of transport like if you are not working then take her to school yourself and if you are then get a van arranged you can also collect other children from the neighbourhood.visit to the school to ask what action or reedial steps they are taking to solve this be very firm otherwise your daughre might lose her selfesteem.
