5 and 1/2 m baby, birth wt 3.2 kg currt wt 6.8 kg ... feeds on bm + Nan1 formula + regular semisolids + water.

Problem:
Takes only 3 ounce formula most times
but takes 5-6 ounce in day. She has been taking this much quantity since she was 2.5m. I hv heard that a baby takes ounces apprx equal to wt .... that is she shd take 5-6 ounces

She takes only 3/4 ounces formula even after sleeping all night from 10 to 7. My maid says she takes 5-6 ounces when she gives her bottle in noon (maid keeps leftover milk in fridge for me to drink so i dont suspect her)

is this ok?
she has gained only 200-300 gms in last 5 weeks. Secondly, she was given more semi-solids than bottle in those days, which i have balanced now to 2 semisolid meals a day.

is happy and healthy otherwise.

i m not going by wt gain right now since the baby's diet prescribed by doc contained more food at this age than milk.

i guess i will take your points and watch the wt gain for next 2 weeks.

at 5.5months old, baby on solids is not expected to complete the formula feeds...
the baby takes oz approx to his wght when on total bm or formula and not with solids..the proportionate changes with respect to baby acceptance to solids and as to how his body was able to continue the formula feeds along with solids..some babies are good at eating,,some are good at drinking milk or formula ! it al reflects on his wght,,,whats his birth wght and current wght,,it will tell all the stats...
