I am soooo glad I found this site. I've been trying to get an answer to my questions for many months now in vain. My daughter is allergic to milk and soy protein. We live in the US so I'm now giving her Nutramigen which is a hypoallergenic formula i.e the milk protein is hydrolysed. We are travelling to India in November and I plan to carry several cans with me. But I am so worried that if we lose our bags or if the formula gets spoiled my child will starve. So I'm trying to find out if there is an equivalent in India to this. Are there any special formulas in India for children with milk AND soy protein allergy ? What do mothers in India do ? I couldnt be of much help to you but i suggest u to ask ur doctor in India if hypoallergenic formula is available, may be ur family members can contact ur doctor in India and then inform u accdly.

Hi ,was sjut seeing that there are no replies,my boy is also having Nutramigen and I plan to go as well to India,but I will be carring the milk tins as I do not think they do have them in India ,and more over if it is not the same ,then the babies have a problem in having them,like my son had a problem of taking soya milk after cows milk,after his results came positive for soya milk,he he had to be changed to nutramigen which was very taxing as he was not ready to go for another taste,so I would definately take certain amount and not rely over there for the stock,Do you have relatives there?,ask them to ask the chemist about it
