hi,

can anybody tell me from what age we should make our babies sleep in separate room? another question is why babies wake in the middle of the night n sit up instead of eating heavy meal n milk while sleeping?

my baby is 18months now.i stopped her BM in daytime completely but at night for sleep she have it n sleep very quickly but in middle of night she wake up n sit n wake me up for BM.she dont take bottle right from beginning.i tried giving her water or milk in sippy cup in middle of night but she cries alot.

can anybody suggest some ideas of their experience?

thanks
sonu

Hi,
am in consensus but here I have a baby who is 11 months and still gets up 3 - 4 timesat night for feeds inspite of the fact that I feed him enough in evening and also before sleeping. God knows when his sleeping pattern will be comfortable. To top it all he has got 6 teeth and bites so hard inspite of my best efforts. But true that patience is the best remedy with small kids.

Hi Sonu,
It is good to keep the baby in the same room as yours for at least 10 to 12 months but let her sleep in her crib so that later on you can just move the crib to another room and keep the baby monitor on.
It is very normal for babies to wake in middle of night. They might continue to do so till they are 10 months. It depends upon the baby. If your baby is 6 months, give her some cereal before she sleeps so that she is full and doesn't wake up. Ignore her crying and just give her some milk by her bottle. I know it is very easy to say then do it. I have a two year old daughter and we are expecting our second baby in other 3 weeks. I was never able to ignore her crying and breast feed her at night too but when she was about 11 months she herself lost interest and also started sleeping through out the night.
Best of luck. Don't stress yourself with small things. Give some time and everything will fall in place.

RE:Adult breast feeding
I was not breastfeed in my childhood hence the idea of sucking and feeding from a woman's full, engorged breasts has infatuated me. It is a fantasy that drives me wild like nothing else, just the thought of laying my head in a woman's lap while she brings her swollen nipples to my mouth. Ideally, I'd like to finally explore this with the right female. If you are in or near... - Sanjayhyd [View Message]
