Hi guys,
I just became a member to this group. I have irregular period. I used to get evey 40-45 days, but now since Jan 2006 it is like every 70 days. I checked with a gynecologist and took blood tests. Except Prolactin level, everything else is normal. Prolactin level is 27.95 ng/ml, Dr said its High. She said the normal is upto 14..Is 27.9 is very high? How long I will have to take the medicines to regulate the period? I want to get pregnant soon... I am very much worried about this...

I have been taking this for 4 months now.Taking 1/2 tablet everyday untill the 16th day of the cycle and i will take it again starting from the day 1 of the cycle.Though they say that it has lot of side effects i didn't feel any and for the past month i took clomid along with that (since i had my first IUI) then also i didn't feel much. sandy replied. I have the same problem.My prolactin levels are 30 and i already took a MRI scan to see if there is any tumour though there is it is only very small.I am also TTC so the doctor prescribed me parlodel for the days from 1-15 or up untill i ovulate.
Don't worry it's curable although it takes time.You need to take the pills to make you ovulate kirti replied. Yesterday I also got a call frm my doctor she told me abt my increased Prolactin level.And advised me to have a MRI scan.This is also a cause of Irregular periods and Infertility.
But It is curable by medicine....I m going for a scan Hoping tht everything would be fine.
If u hav any other experiences regarding this plzz let me know.
And how long hav u been trying and ur whats ur age?
