Trying since long:Thanks Madhu, Dinki and Sunshine

Hi!

Thanks Madhu, Dinki and Sunshine for answering my queries. I am new to this and do not know the abbreviations for some terms here. Sunshine what do you mean by IC? Also, since I am on Clomid now, the doc has asked me to come in to take a progestrone? level. She said she needed to check if I ovulated. My question is - what is progestrone level and does any of you know what is the procedure when I do to the clinic for progestrone level?

Sorry for my ignorance,
Lubs

Subject:  Progesterone hormone

Progesterone is a hormone which is produced after ovulation(release of the egg from the ovary). The level of progesterone increases after ovulation. As mentioned earlier it will be a blood test to know your progesterone level(one of the hormones). u just have to give a blood sample in the luteal phase (i.e days after ovulation ) which will reveal the level of progesterone in the blood and hence give some indication of ovulation.

So cheer up and go ahead with your blood test.
