Hello Friends,

I am new to this site. I posted just one topic few days ago and got reply from Reshma.

I am over 35 and trying to get pregnant for the last 2 years. I did try IUI 4-5 TIMES with injectibles but without any success. The side effects during last iui cycle because of overdose of injections was development of cysts and the cycle becoming anovulatory. I had done all my blood tests, HSG prior to IUI which were all normal. The only test which was remaining was laporoscopy and hysteroscopy which was done 8 months ago when the cysts got developed as a result of overdose of injections. The tubes were patent , uterus was normal, the cysts were punctured and the doctor performed ovarian driling as i was slightly pcos in the same laproscopic procedure.

I am trying naturally to get pregnant but without any success. This March month my periods were late by 6 days so i got the beta hcg blood test done and it was around 12 which was low and i got periods in another 3 days(which meant that i could get pregnant naturally). In April I got my perids, no luck. Again I am worried.

I am 5 feet 4 inches tall and weight is around 64kgs. I try to have good diet.


I am using ovulation prediction kits to time IC.

I am also worried as i have read about adhesions as a side effect of ovarian drilling and pregnancy becoming difficult due to it.I want to know how long after ovarian drilling one has chances of getting pregnant naturally?


Please let me know what shall i do to get pregnant. I am worried as i am over 35 and I did all that i could do. i do not want to try IVFetc.

archie replied. if you tried naturally and hCG levels were 12 then you were pregnant but the levels were not high enough to call healthy pregnancy. It may be that you conceived but did not implant or died off immediately after implant and experienced chemical pregnancy. I think the positive side is you did not go for D&C and had normal periods rather.
you have good chances to conceive and use OPK and work accordingly, avoid intercourse before and after fertile day.
I have my fingers crossed.
Do not read too much of internet, which will add to anxiety than helping your situation:-)
