I am 34 years old and diabetic. I have had irregular periods and have PCO. I take metformin 500 mg 3 times a day .We have been trying to get pregnant for past one year.
My husband's sperm tests are normal. We tried Clomid ..No luck! Then we moved to follistim and IUI. I got pregnant in the second cycle and miscarried in the 6th week. (HCG levels dropped).

Third cycle was unsucessful. How important is the Insemination timing and does intercourse before and after IUI improve the chances of conception?

I am only left with one more cycle(because there is no insurance coverage after 4 th).IVF is also not covered by the Insurance.

I am just hoping that the 4th IUI attempt will be succesful but if it is not. Can I get pregnant naturally by tracking ovulation and timing the intercourse properly. I am not obese but I plan to follow a good diet and exercise regime. Can I get pregnant naturally?. Please advise! meena replied. Dear Nancy,
Hi! I am sure u will get pregnant as u have once. But don't worry too much about this 4th cycle. Stress interferes with conception. U can certainly try to conceive naturally also. Yes, intercourse after IUI, not a day before, is advisable. But u should abstain for 3-4 days before IUI as the sperm count needs to be high.Pl do not excercise vigorously while ttc. Walks r the best.
