Hi,
I live in the US and we speak Gujarati at home, and now I am planning to send my 2 yrs. old to the preschool. Are there any moms who had the same issues. How do children react? Can they learn english very fast? I am worried about how she would handle the language problem.

Hi there,

I understand your concern. It is true that at this children's brains are equiped to learn various things and at this stage their brains are like sponges and tend to absorb a lot from thyeir surroundings, constantly. It is important for you to develop the habit of speaking in english at home so that your child begins to comprehend and learn the language. It is necessary for your child to be able to communicate with other children at the preschool and be included in their fun and also to be able to socialise which is a very important aspect of child development.

hi at this age a child learns through imitaion he learns simple words and their meaning as theya re accompanied by actions and a child is capable of learning many languages just take it easy bye
