I am married and working in Software sector. I have always been career oriented. This job I am in, I don’t enjoy it much and was looking for a change. I didn’t want to hunt for many options and hence focused on this dream job that I always wanted to get in to. I went thru couple of interviews and finally I couldn’t get thru the dream firm that I am talking about. I was deeply hurt and depressed but I coped up treating this as a destiny. Now, all the dreams were buried deep inside, when I met this person who interviewed me in the exhibition where he was representing the same company. Initially I hesitated to communicate with him, after I actually came up and talked to him after gathering a lot guts. He seemed to recognize me but we couldn’t talk at a stretch as he was very busy. However, he did exchange his business card.

Would it be okay, if I send him an email referring to my job application that I had applied for? Do you think it would be wise to discuss why I wasn’t successful in the last round of the interview. Its just to gather the reason and nothing else.

I really cant focus on my current job coz I am going between- whether I should contact him or not. Please help! mina replied. You must gather your feedback from that person. You need to know where you lack, in order to improve on those points. Feedback is practices effectively in all good organizations and is given and taken openly by all sucessful leaders. Its a good thing to ask for feedback and also remember that you have a right to know why you were rejected.
Go the right way. Collect your negatives, ask the person that you want to re-apply as it is your dream company, work hard on your positives as well as negatves, and re-approach the company. If they find you have worked hard, they already know your interest to join, and they see you are a good candidate, they wont refuse. Good luck. Shweta replied. Hi R!
I am also working in a Private sector. Don' t ask about the cause of your rejection but remain in his touch. Give him a call and talk about his exhibition sales etc. If you will ask about your job interview next time onwards he will avoid your call.

Once you will be in his touch he may offer himself you a job or will suggest you other companies of your arena
