Hi,

I am pregnant now and this is my first pregnancy. i am my 7th week now. I used to go to GYM earlier but now i stopped (from 4th week). When is the right time to go to GYM and what kind of excercises are safe?
Also i need to travel abroad during my 5th month or 7th month. Is it okay to travel in 7th month?
Please give your ideas.

Thanks in Advance.

I am starting a EQ (Emotional Intelligence) school in Chandigarh. Initially we are dealing with \" feelings\" of children starting age 2. As an addition to our offerings we are interested in setting up prenatal classes (including areobics / yoga) for mothers.

Can anyone recommend any teachers / instructors in our region who would be willing to come down here for a fee to train mine?

My suggestions is that you check with your gynec. Stay active. It is better to walk for the aerobic exercise and gentle prenatal exercises from your prenatal classes should be a good combo. Usually in prenatal classes there are special exercises for the back, pelvic floor, breast support etc so all that will help. If you walk on a treadmill and get dizzy you can get badly hurt and this can happen duing pregnancy so you need to be careful. Your gym should have a good trainer who knows about prenatal exercises. I did that, I went for prenatal classes so I did those exercises and my gym instructor helped me set up a safe program,. I also walked [in a jogging park] till the 9th month, first in Pune and then in Ahmedanad where i went for delivery but I did not join a gym there in the last 2 months, only walked and did my prenatal exercises. Most airlines will not allow you to travel from the 7th month. If you have to go, do it before that.

Hi,
congratulation on your pregnancy,my advise on your excersise is to hold on for your 1st trimaster, exersices are not encouraged at this stage but you can regularised it later and about travelling, for international standard aircraft will not take any passengers after 7mths and it will pressure to your baby when take off in airplane, you may want to consult with your doctor, good luck!!

diet during pregnancy
Maintaining a healthy diet during pregnancy is very important.

During this time, your body needs additional nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

In fact, you may need 350–500 extra calories each day during the second and third trimesters.

A diet lacking in key nutrients may negatively affect the baby’s development.
