Hey All,

I have a question to ask. I wanted to know how does one develop a blocked/damaged fallopian tube. As per my doc it happens only if you have had sexual partners before your marriage and if there is any PID(pelvic inflammatory disease) like endometriosis. Is this true? and are there any more causes for blocked fallopian tubes besides these?
Also, what is the procedure of getting artificial insemination done? How much time does it take and how is it done?

it's not necessary that one should have premarital sexual experience to get in to blocking tubes.
It could happen by any reasons,
recurrent urinary tract infections,
pelvic inflamatory diseases, endometriosis and others,
some laten infection that you don't feel in the form of uti or pid class.

IUI is a process where they will isolate healthy spersm from your spouse and inject them in your system around ovulation. The success lies in timing of the injection, would require ultrasounds to know ovulation progress in your body.

I won't be able to put cents on IUI economics because it depends on insurance policy and how much of the procedure is covered. If not in Europe or USA then it may not be as expensive -but this term will also depend what amounts of monthly earning in India your family has.
