Hi,
We r ttc from around 4 months.I have been having irregular periods(get it once in 2 months),when I went to see an Indian Doctor she said everything is normal and then 2nd visit I told her I want to regularise my periods and she just prescribed Clomid and said I should start taking it on the 3rd day of my period but the fact is I get my periods 2 months once.What do I do?Should I see another doctor?I am getting tensed and worried when I dont get my periods ..although I get all symptoms of periods like back ache,leg pain but just doesn't occur.
Truly worried as I am 30+ and married for 2 yrs now.. but want to have a baby now.
Please suggest.

I also fall in the category of Irregular cycles, about 45-60 days..
But now I'm 2 months pregnant..
I have gone through 1 ultrasound and thyroid checkups..Everything was normal.. My Doc said I'm completely normal..but I was worried a lot since we
were trying since 1 and 1/2 years..
Then me and my husband thought that the only problem is my irregular period , then we thought of asking doc to regulalarise my periods ..So next day we went to doc told about this, she suggested us Clomid and told that there is 8% chance of twins using this..
We then decided not to take Clomid unless all the tests are done, and we were never interested in Clomid..

So finally we thought of Ovulation Kits,
Since my periods were irregular it was very tough to predict the ovulation time..But blindly I started to check with the Ovulation kits from cycle day 28th till 40th ,and simultaneously BBT(BasalBodyTemperatures) and timely intercourse..
All this helped me a lot !!and finally I'm pregnant..
So according to me try for these Ovulation Kits atleast for 6 months,I'm sure you'll acheive success soon..
I used those kits continuosly for 3 times..
Never worry , everything will be alright..

dinki replied. i too am having irregular periods and have been ttc for abt an year.My doc gave me tabs to regularise my periods for 2 months and then she has prescribed for colme tabs from the 2nd day of the 3rd cycle.i think if u r not happy with ur doc take a second opinion

Dinki S M replied. If you are really worried about your present doc,I think you should go for a change.

I personally had a bad experience with the Indian doctors,they have a don't care attitude.

I mean thats my opinion,I then changed my doctor and I am happy now.

Anyway if you have doubts about your doc why not change.Especially in such delicate issues you need to have a doctor who is willing to listen to you and answer all your queries.
