hi we living in new york for the past 6 years and are moving to India (Delhi) in jan 2007 and I am clueless abt the admission procedures in schools there....my son is going to be 3 in august 2006 and has not gone to any ply group here in new york....i have heard that many parents have a hard time gettig their children admitted in Delhi. please help me and tell me how to go abt the admission procedure and how to prepare my child for the test interview.....we do not have any help in delhi and it will be a totally new place for us..... i am desperate for help...... I am in Dwarka (west delhi). In noida and Mayur Vihar there are lot of good schools. I am giving you the names, you can search on net for their websites.
1. DPS Noida
2. DPS Greater Noida
3. DPS Indirapuram
4. Amity Noida
5. Apeejay Noida
6. Apeejay Greater Noida
7. Ahlcon International Mayur Vihar
8. Lotus Valley International , Noida
9. Cambridge, Noida
10. Ryan International Noida.
11. Pragyan day boarding school Greater noida

And there are many which are under construction on expressway in noida. They would be opening by next session.
BTW are you joining in a MNC in noida. If so, you can contact the HR department. Most of the good MNCs HR provide the help in getting admission.

Your son would be admitted in the class nursery for the session 2007-2008.
Admission process for that would be starting in sep-oct this year only.
Since you would be moving in Jan next year, by that time the admissions would be over in most schools. But you need not to be worry as schools always leave some seats for late admissions (for transfer or donation cases).
I would recommand you to do the following
1. Have you finalized on where in delhi u would be staying. That would help you in deciding which schools you can aim for.
2. Get the website addresses of all teh nearby scools (use google u would fine that).
3. Keep an eye on when they are announcing the nursery registration, if u have some reltives in Delhi u can ask them.
4. Most of the good schools in Delhi do online registration, so fill up the registration form and send an application along with that stating that you wont be able to come for the interview till Jan'2007.
5. When you are in delhi get in touch with the school authorities and finalize the admission.
You need not to be worry there are plenty of good schools in Delhi and your kid will get admission. Some of the scools may ask you to deposit the fess this year only, but that chance you can take.
I got my son admitted in the mid-sessin (sept) in a good school. So relax.
Let me know the area where u would be relocating, I would suggest u good schools around that.
