Dear Reva,

I guess the term used in your case would be 'biochemical pregnancy'. you have said that this has happened to you twice. you definitely do need help to have a normal pregnancy. the doctor has to do a battery of tests to find out the cause of your repeated miscarriages, if possible and then proceed. they might also have to support your pregnancy with injections and tablets that would help sustain the pregnancy.
contact a good gynecologist with ample experience in high risk pregnancies and may be in infertility too.
good luck

Low progesterone levels can also cause miscarriages. They might put you on supplements.

Hi Genny,
Getting pregnant but not visualizing embryo in sac is result of chemical abortion. This is because while fertilization the chromosomes did not complement well.
Your Dr. will ask you to follow their advice and will perform some tests on to make sure does not happen again.
If you face recurrent miscarriages then bring it to your Dr. about Cervix, ask him/her to have your cervix checked thoroughly, if needed seek second opinion.

Hi Reva,
I am sorry that you are going through such confusion.

There could be several things going on and only Gynec can speak more about that to you. Remember each case is different.

If you test positive for pregnancy then you should not get period. You should have blood hCG measured from the day you test positive for pregnancy. This will confirm that hCG amounts progress as they should for pregnancy. If not then there may be slight chance for miscarriage and more for other gynecological problems.

If this has happened at least three time ask your OBGYN to monitor or look closely at Cervix and he/she will find root of all this anamolies.

It would be good to test in the middle of cycle to see that your normal hCG levels are abnormally high and fooling you when you test them for pregnancy.

Everything can be controlled, to find out cause is what is important. Take steps with your OBGYN.

Hope this helps.
Archie

IVF via Donor Sperm
Hi, we are planning for ivf via donor sperm as we have genetic history wherein my daughter is ASD and mine own brother is ADHD hence genetic counselor said there is risk of 15-20 percent of child being autistic if we use our own gamet. If male child is born the risk is higher than a girl child.

Hence we thought to go for donor sperm. But there is still risk... - SS [View Message]
