Unexplained Infertility:IVF via Donor Sperm

Hi, we are planning for ivf via donor sperm as we have genetic history wherein my daughter is ASD and mine own brother is ADHD hence genetic counselor said there is risk of 15-20 percent of child being autistic if we use our own gamet. If male child is born the risk is higher than a girl child.

Hence we thought to go for donor sperm. But there is still risk as we donot know the medical history if the donors give the right information. Also I asked doctor if they can tell us from the list of donors the babies that are born and are now 2-3 years old if any family has reported any issue. If none can they give us that list to pick donor from there. They said its difficult to share. Also they are not disclosing much information about the donor history what is their background, IQ, profession, religion background. Just sharing the height and color. But when I spoke to sperm bank who are not in tie u with Prashant fertility centre chennai they are willing to share these information but only thing the fertility clinic are not allowing me to select a sperm bank of my choice.

Pls guide what to do. Are families not given a choice to select the right donor.

Also we thought to do pgs if going ivf with donor sperm but pgs will just tell about the chromosomal abnormality.

Are we allowed to request to do the genetic testing for the donor profile we are selecting as we donot want to take a risk of having another child with an issue as it will be very difficult for us.

Appreciate response from parents who are undergone such situation. Also Parents who have special child how did you proceed for the second child.
