Hi,

I was taking clomid(clomiphene citrate 100mg) for 5 cycles and now i stopped.I am experiencing severe constipation and i got wound while passing stools.I dont feel the bowl movement at all.Is it a side effect of clomid? I read in one article that clomid might lead to cancer...But that issue was disputed it seems...Even after taking metamucil +gatorade twice daily,my constipation and pain during stool passage is not solved.

Also during my clomid cycle when i tested OPK from Cd10,I get two lines around CD13 and CD14,CD15 and I took progesterone test on CD 23 which says my Progesterone level is somewhere around 6.And again i took same progesterone test on CD 28 which says my pregesterone level is 24.

Its very confusing and am not able to predict my ovulation for that past 6 months.I havebeen TTC for past one year.We have sex alternate days from CD 12 to CD 22 after that my vagina is dry and i feel difficult to have sex during then.

Any suggestions / ideas when i am ovulating? And can i use preseed (semen friendly lubricant)after CD23 while TTC?

It's very painful waiting,having lost my career.I stopped working for the past one year just because i want to be stress free and staying home will increase the probability of conception. But so far nothing positive and during my last visit my dr referred my to an infertility specialist at RSC.

Now i am more stressed and apart from this i started receiving pressures from family too.

all the good luck to you....please see a doctor regarding your constipation and bleeding while passing stools problem. It might not be as serious as cancer but please dont ignore it.
I was on clomid for more than 7 months and it did result in ovarian cyst. Its good that you are consulting a specialist.
And my dear, its a myth that women in India concieve within 6 months of treatment. I've been taking treatment for 6 years ( also tried IUI and IVF) but no luck so far.
But I keep getting strength from all these wonderful friends on this board....so go on and keep trying

I think my story is same as urs. Even i resigned from my job 9 months back to be stress free. I thought that my job is coming in the way of conception. But i think i was wrong, evrything has its own time, nothing can effect , we cannot correlate these things with one another. Anyways i'm not working still trying waiting that one day i would see positive results.

Good that u will be seeing infertility specialist.
when u meet the doctor do tell her about the side effects u have when taking clomid. When i took clomid i too had vaginal dryness , so u sld drink lot of water.
