Feeding:PP-feeding schedule,1year old

hi pp, sorry i cldnt get a chance to read or reply your mail, its festival time so my routines didnt give me chance to write it down,,,
now about your baby to be 1 year..first congratulations and a very happy birthday to your lil angel.
wat is her birth nd current weight..
abt her schedule :
bbkfast : looks good to me, try searching for the cereals that i mentioned,,if not found, try givin her overboiled wholegrains like : oats, quinoa, brown rice, barley or millet..with chopped fruits in there...often these have good source of iron. if you arent able to judge or understand whats iron rich cereals in your country, check my post about iron fortified cereals and look for the nutritional value of iron in it..also, 1 year onwards most babies/now toddlers,ARE READY FOR ADULT CEREALs that does not have frutcose/corn syrup.or ne other added sweet flabours..go for the ordinary brand or the brand that has the most natural ingrediants and fewest ingrediants..dont go for the ones with longer names or complicated names that you cant even spell..thats the easiet way to ensure that you are not giving some unknown thing to your baby..
about brunch -- looks good to me,if her break fast does not include sooji then she will eat fruits during brunch,,so make her eat fruits,,watever she likes, offer that..boiled apple, chopped bannana, fresh n peeled oranges,,let her play with that,,little strawberries, blackberries, and those finger picked fruits are great to make your child learn to eat hand picked fruits/self feedings...
lunch : looks good to me, no comments,,
evening snacks : ok to give wholewheat, multigrains from 10months onwards,,most babies are ready for it,,offer juice with evening snack..offer cheese, yogurt if not juice,,give one serving of extra calcium apart from cows milk until your baby is 2 years of age...let her do FURRRR and make it a play time,,kids like to do that, often 1 yeear onwards they play with their own tongue, mouth and such sounds :))..give her glass, as far as she is drinking nothing wrong to train her with that,,be one of those lucky mothers who dont have to worry about washing nipples and sippy spoutss :)...whenever she does that furrrr, let her do for a min or so then divert her mind by drinking the same juice and saysss hmmmmmm yum yummm,,after a couplemonths,,your baby will do that,,or give her a clap when she drinks it.,,guess what i was doing that and my baby now is abt to turn 14months, she claps her hands,,sayss hummmm after every sip !! well,,its fun to watch themdo that...or ne reaction that diverts her mind...
dinner : no commnets,,,

where is proteins in her diet ! rest is great, timings are wonderful..where are proteins ??? only one serving of dal !! add in more,,also make dals part of evening dinners or offer tofu replacing paneer or give alternatively..offer multigrain pastas/whole grain pastas...they have excellent source of protein and iron..
if she doesnt like boiled apple plain, add in some cinnamon and give,,just a lil sprinkle..or give cardamom and then offer,,see if she is ready for flavours..its right time nowonwards to include diff varieties and flavours in her diet.
she wakes up at night because : 1. she is getting into habit of bf.2. start her with cows milk and give her that as per your dr recommendations,,often 1year is expected to drink around 24oz of milk some 4oz less ormore is just fine,,,but considering it, 3 full feeds of cows milk..formula will not giveher enough nutrients now and she will remain hungry !
she gets up frequently at night also means that your bm is not sufficient enough to let her sleep.. thru out the night,,
about her total per serving of intake, expect your 1 year healthy child to eat atleast 1/4th cup of each serving of each dish in your(adults)..
check my post to various people on this board whose kids are just of your age,,some ideas therein too..
she cries because she needs to eat..understand that 9months onwards, your baby main diet is solids and foods than just milk,,milk has to be imp diet but not the primary diet !!
however, continue the bm apart from cows milk and make it a snack time..wean her before she gets in that habit and makes you tired...
if you are njoying bf and she is njoying,,nothing wrong continue,,upto you,,,
take care, hope this helpsyou...
