Feeding:About my 2.5 yr old son / pls do help

Hi ! I have a 2.5 yr old son. I feel he has speaking and eating problems. I request you to pls take time out to read and give suggestions.
Speaking : He is still not able to completely understand what I say to him and though is talking non-stop the whole day, very little of it makes sense. He doesn't even understand \";Naam kya hai ?\"; Lately he has started associating \";naam\"; with his name and tells his name everytime he hears \";naam\"; irrespective of whether we are asking his, papa or mumma's name. I was completely okay with his slow speech as every child is different but lately seeing his peer group I've started worrying. Any suggestions ?
Eating : He's a real fussy eater. He won't eat anything unless he is preoccupied with something - t.v. / computer / new game / water etc. We have to show him the T.V to really make him eat. And he just doesn't chew. He'll take anything in semi solid form but will just not chew. I tried giving him chips and stuff, but he chews / sucks them and then spits it out - no swallowing anything that has been chewed. He just doesn't seem to be interested in food. I 've tried giving attractive food stuff but in vain. Could anyone pls suggest how should I get my son to atleast taste food and then decide whether he likes it or not !
Would really appreciate any suggestions.

Hello,
I have the same problem with my son. Making him eat is the biggest problem. That too, he will eat only mashed food. Now that he has started going to creche, he does not eat anything. He is losing weight and getting sick. Pls give some suggestions, how to overcome this problem.
