Hetal replied. how did you give her vegies, meat.how you made them.
if curd rice is the only thing she likes, throw in some boiled vegies in that. did you try that ??
if she doesnt want to eat them, further, puree them and mix it with curd and rice and then give !!!
check my post to pria dated 15th sept..
add in those things to her diet, along with curd rice.when hunger strikes, kids eat whatever available. just give her that time, just when she is badly hungry, keep curd rice and other dish ready,,give her first bite curd rice, and then second the other dish/variety,,see her response,,keep doing that. if she eats the other dish, appreciate her,,wow, you ate this,,cool you are such a wonderful girll,,,praise her,,make her feel excited about it..kids at 1 year onwards easily can be tricked that way.
put her fav program on tv and then feed her. give her something to play, talk to her,,talk with very soft tone,HAVE A LOT OF PATIENCE while feeding.because she will resist abit..she has to learn to eat most of the things if not everything, understand that.its for her good, so its good for you to stick to it.
dont leave hope,,now that she is 20months, she will understand very well that mom is trying to trick me, but you have to keep doing it.
acc to one study, its seen taht it takes an infant/toddler between 15-21 instances of trying new food before his own true likes or dislikes for that particular food is established.so please dont conclude that \" \" my baby does not like ,..... \" \"
you have to understand that he is 20months old, and its been just a year when you have introduced her to solids..you will be surprised to know that even a refusal to open mouth for a particular food do not necessarily indicate a dislike for that food.
how about giving her finger foods and let her play with her. the first reaction to nething they see is to put in mouth ! your baby might just start to eat with that.sometimes kids refuse their parents to feed them, because they want to eat it themselves..at 1 years its pretty much expected,,,..my daughter has never let me touch her meals from the time she was 1 year,,or else she would just not eat,,she will run away from me..if i make her sit on highchair, she will yell !! oh yeah, talk about mess,,its a lot of it.
other than that, like finger foods, changing texture of food might help..
other than, unless your family has a history of food allergies, there is less possibility that your baby will dislike ne food. please note that not all food allergies are caused after the intake, some like pineapple and tomato based foods have given itching in their mouth as soon as they touched their tongue,,so result is they dont want to it,no matter how hard you try !!
i would suggest you only onething with this, let your baby eat himself.let him make a mess if that makes him to eat.leave the food before him when he is badly hungry, and just move away here and there, keeping an eye on him..see how she reacts !!!! once she gets into eating, supervise her but dont take the charge.let your baby take the charge of eating the way she wants,,just make sure she doesnt take a fistful and put in her mouth,,,for that keep tits and bits of food scattered in plate,,because she is hungry, she will eat by picking one by one and wont try hard to gather them in fist !!
try distracting her and make her eat,see if that works !!
add in more good fats, proteins and diary to her diet.she is getting good milk and curd so introduce her with cheese.at 6, give her 100% fruit juice, fresh or baby juice..,,give her toast and also add in pieces of roti in her diet.//
keep trying, dont assume that \" my baby does not like...\" until she becomes big enough to feed herself,,and i think this is just the right time for her to be independent and learn to eat,,
njoy, about weight gain tips, if you increase proteins, diary, fruits like banana, avacado,,sweet potato,,and one more serving of milk of some 4oz at night, she is expected to gain good.
body weight also depends on body fat given as a gift by heritage ! so expect your baby to grow accordingly and not just by the standards..
Good Luck,
