I am working in private firm, i have a 1 1/2 years old daughter. Some of my friends are housewives, whenever i call them they always enquire how my daughter is staying with maid,they tell me of different incidents of maid cheating the family by not providing proper food to kids, or stealing from house. They also compare my daughter with htiers regarding weight gain. One of my friends MIL also commented once that her grandson is very fat and chubby because her DIL is not working and that my daughter is lean just because i am working. I don't care for such remarks, but sometimes i really bugged up when i think about the comments. Now i have stopped calling out these friends. Please tell is my attitude ok. fami replied. I am another unlucky mother who missed the golden days of my kid.
I had to leave him with my parents at his 1 and 1/2 years of age when i was forced go for an onsite trip for 3 months.
and during office hrs he is staying with mom .
Now what I find is ,he is more attached to my mother and he doesnt even care for me..
whome could I blame .. nobody else than me right..
I feeling sssoo guilty about . I never wanted to be such a mother..

I have also faced such problems,specially when I had to leave my daughter when she was just 3 months old. I really dont care about the comments,this has made me more responsible towards my daughter,i try to give her nutritious meals and touchwood she has become healthy and still people say that she is fat and so on...
actually these people are jealous,they cant see u handling both the child and ur carrer.Be happy u have both and one day ur daughter will be pround of u..
frankly speaking, my mother is a housewife and i always like the mothers of my friends who were working...

You should not worry about such comments. I am sure since you are the mother, you do worry about your kid and make sure that the maid takes good care of your kid. Have some checks on her and do monitor her regularly. Otherwise it is none of others business that you want to work inspite of having kids. One day, your kids will respect you for your career and independent nature.

I think you should not worry about them. What ever u do, people have a tendency to criticize it. It is good to be with people who make you happy rather than people who make you unhappy. But see the positive side from these comments, that these people are concerned about your child and also their comments make you always keep a regular check on you maid, where as without these comments you might get little relaxed about your maid. Remember however good a maid be, she is still not part of your family.
