pria, its true that babies do tend to get a bit slow n steady on the weight side from 9months onwards, but they arent expected to lose upto 1 kg in 10 dayss,,thats abit too fast....thats the only thing bothering me !
otherwise,i am really not worried..i see her as an active baby and considering what you told me about what she has been eating,,she is eating good !! also, now that you showed her to your ped,m not much concerned because your ped knows her from day 1,,i would trust that.
by the time your baby is 9months, she should be practically eating most of the vegetables and fruits. go low on gassy and citrus stuffs.
also,9months onwards babies are expected to eat bit lumpier foods,chunks, or lil soft pieces of overcooked vegetables.however, it all depends individually on babies preferences and as to how far he has been able to control his tongue mscles.
i want you to add in somethings with the diet you are givin.
1.add in oat bran,its available in all leading stores of US,in india,i m not sure.
2.go multigrain,whole grain foods,like multigrain breads,panckes,and whole grain pastas.
3.add in tofu to her diet,its high in protein and excellent for good growth.
4.add in soya chunks,soya kheema to her khichadi or poridge,or rice...
5.add in sweet potato to her diet,,give it in form of overbakes pieces and spinkle some cardamom/elachi,,she she will like it,,
6.add in a dash of ghee to her dalrice,poridge,khichdi..
7.now that she is 9months old, she should be fine with all lentils..give her mix dal khichadi,,in all the proportion, keep the prop of toor dal and channa dal least..so go by moongdal,masoordal,channa dal, toor dal, and lite sprinkle of urad dal, and finally add in rice (double or triple amt of all dals,watever you are giving),,,..
this will give her good boost.
8.add in mild spices to her diet, like tadka of cumin corainder seeds(if she isnt comfortable with seeds, grind them),hing,turmeric,curry leaves,salt,oregano or italian seasonings in her pastas or khichadi,,,these are mild spices and are said to improve apetite in various culture..
9.your baby is ready for cheese, yogurt,so add in extra serving of it, in her diet.
10.finally, replace maida pancakes with mixed flour pancakes(wheat:only if you are giving mixed cereal,otherwise not,rice flour, gram flour,barley flour,millet flour,oatflour,,add in some pureed vegies, and some mild spices,,,give that..this is whole meal !! offer with curd,formula or just crushed fruits..tastes awesome..or just sprinkle cheese while making it,,,and its a whole meal.
add in juice to her diet,she likes grapes,offer her other fruits with grapes,,she likes banana, give banana based juices(give juices diluted 1:2,3),,
a healthy 9month old is expected to eat in the range mentioned below :
3-4 feedings or on demand/24-32 ounces total per day of formula,4-6tablespoons of cereal (or ne grains,also offering toddler cereal is great idea,,she might be ready for it, if she is done with mixed cereals),infant juice(diluted 1:2,3,4) 4oz or 1/2cup(prefer to give by sippy),fruits a total serving of 6-8tablespoons,vegies upto 6-8tablespoons,and meat or ne high protein diet as 4-6tablespoon.
so this should suffice..as per your menu, her varieties are good,,i like that..add in more proteins,pastas(great finger foods),soaked pieces of roti,tofu/soya chunks,and pancakes,breads and toddler snacks...
