Please be reasured, I have a nineteen month old boy who was born 2 months early and had various health issues at birth. He has never been a great eater and is still quite thin but perfectly healthy. Also remember to \";correct\"; your childs age. If your little girl is now eight months old to compensate for the fact she was born early you can only expect her to be in the same weight range as a six month old baby girl. Premature babies can take a couple of years to catch up to full term babies born at the same time both in size and developmentally.

You can try a combination of almond (soaked, skin peeled and blanched) and misri,powdered and added to the child's semi-solid food. It has worked for me.
Also try feeding the child a porridge made of wheat, ragi, etc. the traditional way. You can even try ready mixes like Manna's health drink. Try very less qty initially. By now, try to increase the child's solid/semi-solid feeds.
You can also try substituting full cream milk in place of normal toned milk **ONLY IF** you have already introduced dairy milk in the diet.

Give your baby milk thrice a day morning evening and night and in between that is at breakfast you can give her Idly which is very good to health at lunch try giving her this meal;
1 cup rice small quantities of toor dal, moong dal and urad dal fry all these in a pan without adding oil. Then grind them all in a mixie store it in a container. when you want to feed your baby first thing to be done is boil water after getting bubbles add 1-2 table spoons of the powder to the boiling water and keep stirring. you can add grated carrot or potato or any other vegetable to the boiling water before adding powder also add salt to taste and ghee. It would be very delicious and healthy for months babies
