Hi,
I am a silent reader of this site and i really appreciate all girls around here share each other's pain and understand their feelings-what they are going through and are so friendly.so today just thought to ask you 1 question as i was confused.

I am 34 yrs old and my hubby 36.We have a 10 yr old son but are trying for second child more than a year but did not hit the success. From last 4 mnts i was on clomid but nothing worked now my husband says there will be too much gap so we should drop this plan now but sometimed i do agree with him but sometimes think should i try till i become 35 or what?If by chance i meet success gap between 2 children will be too much- 11 yrs which i know intially will look too much but when 1 will become an adult like say 30 the other will be 19 that time i think they will be like friends?right?what should i do ?next mnt i am going to india i told my husband we will show doctor he is saying forget it and we will just make our son big and give him best of everyhting in whole world but as i said trying more than 1 yr cant remove from my mind.

Just thought to share my feelings as can't share with anyone else.Thank-you.

naina.

Hello Naina
Me too... have this same problem, actully we r trying for our second child for the past 3 yrs but we ended up with lot of health problem, first my hubby and then me.
now my son is 8yrs old and sometimes i too use to think abt the age difference between siblings and used to get worried a lot.but my friends use to support be as i am only 29 yrs and my hubby is 35.

now recently i was diagonised with hydrosalpinx (infected fallopian tubes) and i have to undergo one laser surgery in april 06, after that our chances of second child thro normal way is ruled out.
So we have decided to do IVF in september 2006.
if u and ur husband feel ok financially then go ahead with ur plan of having second child.

hi,
read ur mail today.thnks for supporting, will try few mnts but as i said my husband does not want to go through any treatments as he is not at all eager for 2nd child it is only 1 sided and for my happiness we were trying but as it is not happening now he said we must forget let's see.I am praying to GOD to give me courage for right decision .

Any way all the best to u and take care of ur health .ur son will be very happy if he gets his sibling all the best to u and GOD bless u.

if i were u, i definitely would have tried, if i could afford the treatments. its nice to have a sibling, esp, when ur parents are no more. i can say that bcoz i recently lost my mom and my brother was a big support bcoz he felt exactly the same for the loss as i did. and its a big support when u have a brother or sister to attend and look after u when u r getting married. i think ur son may feel the need for a sibling in future and i dont think 10 yrs is too much of a difference.
hope this helps,
take care,
pari.

thnks.for your reply you want believe i really got motivated as my husband from beggining wanted only one only for my happiness he said yes and as i am not becoming now pregnant he said let's forget.

1 more question in my mind i am over weight is that the reason for not becoming pregnant or may be even age?

thnks.
