Hi,
My daughter who is 15mnts old has stopped eating her solids. She used to eat little rice and veggies,or dal, kichidi and some curd rice, gerber fruits and veggies, banana. She stopped eating almost most of her food from 2 weeks. She is getting her first tooth. She is just pushing away the food as soon as i try to feed.she likes to eat cheerios, cut and steamed veggies(very little quantity),some grapes, oranges. She is still on formula Enfamil Next step.I am worried since she stopped eating her main food like rice. Please suggest something which my baby might eat with interest and is nutritious. Is it the teeting thing that is messing up with her diet or is it a phase that babies go thru. Will she ever start eating normally.I feel worried abt her. Please share ur views and suggestions.

Hetal replied. loss of apetite is one big thing coming along with teething !
so nothin much we can do.give watever he takes and make him happy. i rem my daughter was on carrots for 2 days,,thats her all time fav food..
well i wouldnt advice you that but keep trying and let him take watever he likes and let him eat that. right now our main aim is to make him eat nething that he accepts it..teething is abig pain for them, their jaws release those bones from them,,ofcourse it hurts..and its very painful..
so we have to understnad that in this pain, even when we get our teeth replaced or cleaned we cant eat properly so same is with kids too.
during teething, babies like to drink more than eating..go try offering things in liquid form, and watever things that cant be given in liquid form, try offering them in COOL form then in warm temperature,,or cooler than lukewarm..they love to eat cool things when their gums are on flame !
also since cold cannot be gven, give foods at cool temperature..
also their gums are right now in bad shape,,in pain and very much soft condition,,in that they will not like to eat spices, which is common,,how you feel when your injured finger happens to touch spices ! it burns more,,right,,same way,,with kids..
try offering spice less foods,,some babies ate everything without spices...nothing wrong in that.
also, some babies has liked abit of sweet things in teething ! check onthat,,offer foods like chunks of boiled and cooled sweet potato, banana, or mashes vegies at cool temperatures,,see if they eat that !
keep tryingg, nothing much we can do.
to add on, give them mixed vegetable juice and mixed fruit juice so that they get a good dosage of all they missed in eatin !
cheerios, add in with other vegies,of different colours,,make it interesting,,sometimes they eat that way..my baby used to eat her foods biscuits pieces in it, when she got her 4th and 5th teeth !
good luck,,keep trying
