Hey Babysos,

I really appreciate the way u took the news. Believe me I know how hard it is to be ourselves when things don' t workout the way we expected especially after u have missed your periods so long. Anyway, as Megs said be cool and be positive and thigns will turn out rite. We have also started TTC since this month, so it' s a few days to go for me as my period is due on 28. For my first child I didn' t expect...as we didn' t plan or took any precautions, it just happened and so I was not reading signs and to be frank....... I didn' t know a thing about pregnancy or anything. So now as we know and read a lot about it, we seem to search for the symptoms. Even though I feel like I have few slight symptoms, am not taking it seriuosly.

I really hope everyone gets through this soon! Have faith and also try to divert your attention towards something you like to do. I have took some book from library and started doing some knitting whenver am free. When my daughter is at home am engaged with her. Try going out for a small walk, just window shopping or watch some Tv ........ anything which would keep you occupied.

I need to cool down too, as my period due is nearing am all stressed out & I guess am not getting proper sleep these 2 days.

Lots of baby dust on you and please do keep in touch as we all need eachother to share and comfort. Take care!

Hey KR...

Thanx for the support! I really appreciate that.

It´ s great you´ re trying again but I suppose you shouldn´ t be too stressed about it. Especially since you´ ve already been through this before. I´ ve heard the more relaxed a person is the better chances are to conceive. I guess we all get conscious when we make an effort to conceive and we imagine symptoms. Since your 1st pregnancy wasn´ t a conscious effort to get preggie, it seemed simple. So I feel we all just create our own demons by thinking, analysing and reading into any random symptom.

The best thing is to keep busy and occupied constantly.

Good luck to you! Keep smiling!

Love,
Babysos

Hey Sherry!

TTc means " Trying To Concieve" . I would suggest you to continue the folic acid tablets as it´ s really neccesary during TTC. Take care and lots of baby dust on you!

Here´ s something I read about,

Get lots of folic acid -- at least 400 micrograms a day.
This vitamin has been proven to reduce a baby´ s risk of neural-tube birth defects such as spina bifida, and it is linked to a lower incidence of heart attacks, strokes, cancer, and diabetes.

Most women of child-bearing age should get 400 micrograms (mcg) daily, the equivalent of 0.4 milligrams (mg), according to the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS). If you have a family history of neural-tube birth defects or take medication for seizures, your doctor may suggest that you boost your daily intake to 4,000 mcg, or 4 mg, starting at least a month before you conceive and continuing throughout your first trimester.

A good over-the-counter prenatal vitamin should contain more than the minimum recommendation of folic acid, between 600 and 800 mcg — what you´ ll need during pregnancy. In addition, you can eat folate-rich foods, such as dark green leafy vegetables like spinach or kale, citrus fruits, nuts, legumes, whole grains, and fortified breads and cereals. Folic acid is a water-soluble vitamin, so your body will flush out the excess if you consume too much. But there´ s a downside to being water-soluble, too. You can lose a lot of this vitamin in cooking water, so steam or cook vegetables in a small amount of water to preserve the folate.

Good Luck & take care again!

Hey Sherry,

My doc mentioned the best time to try is from the 10th day after your period started till the 20th day. So in your case you would be ovulating from 16th/17th to 26th/27th of each month. And after you' ve had intercourse, prop your rear on a pillow or 2 so that you can assist the sperm to move faster to meet the egg. Raising your legs in the air also helps. You could stay in that position for 20 mins. Good luck to you!

Hey Megs,

Thanksssssss so much for the pep talk!! I needed that. Like I said earlier, I was a bit disappointed but then felt that it´ s silly to be upset at this point, when I´ m just starting on a new phase in my life. Doesn´ t set the right tone to the whole thing. But still, it helps to know that there are friends like you who understand the ups and downs of TTC. I figured that all the anxiety of whether I had conceived or not caused the huge delay in my period arriving on schedule. So from now on...NO ANALYSING AT ALL...

thanks so much Megs!!! Keep smiling!

Love n hugs,
Babysos

Hello babysos,
gud thats the rite attitude to take things.Dont be upset at all.Take failure as a stepping stone to success. You r nearing your goal. Just hav patience & never lose hope..I know its easier said than done, but remember I 2 know what it is to see the dirty red thing when ur TTC.I 2 faced it in my first month. But 2 nd month I had decided that Cum what may,I´ ll not be STRESSED.I´ ll be relaxed...take things as it cumes,I just trusted in God,prayed,n asked him 2 gimme courage to be STRONG especially in that Dreaded 2 weeks wait...n blv me that very month I became pregnant.....Just the secret here is,be Kool,Be Positive, dont be stressed.Njoy time with ur hubby.Rest leave it on God.God has brought us here and he will gift us soon with happiness..try to look at the brighter and postive side of life..be happy and things would materialize very soon I bet.....

loads of baby dust on u n remember It will happen very soon, especially when you least expect it.All the best and keep smiling and be happy.
lotsa luv.

Hey Sherry, KR, Megs,

So..i´ m NOT pregnant! i got my period early this morning, much to my dismay. But then i´ m not tooooo upset about it coz i just started TTC this last month. I was a bit sad initially when ´ it´ started but am ok now.

Sherry, please re-start folic acid tabs since they´ re very essential for the development of the foetus. I´ ve been on them for a month and half now and will not be stopping them for a while now.

What i´ ve learnt from this entire 2 weeks of obssessing is... that i´ ve got to stop obssessing and relax. I guess this being my 1st attempt i was extremely eager and anxious and read into signs that were not there.

Thanks for all your support guys! I would really like to continue interacting with you all so please keep writing.

Hope things work out for you soon, Sherry & KR. Megs, good luck!

Love n hugs,
Babysos

Hey babysos,

I think the things you have must be the early pregnancy symptoms. I have read in many many websites that wanting to go to restroom frequently, back pain and stomach cramps are all early symptoms. So i guess you are most likely to be pregnant as your Dr says. Again lots & lots of baby dust on you!

Good luck!

Hey Sherry,

I don´ t think you should be too worried. I agree with Megs, it could be implantation bleeding. And yeah, i would definitely avoid heaty foods at the moment. Especially in the first trimester. Then you could follow your Gyn´ s advice on what and what not to eat during pregnancy. For now, I think that bleeding and cramps could be related to possible conception i.e. if you have been TTC in your fertile period. So smile :) and chill!

As for me, I just visited my Gyn this morning and he has asked me to wait till Saturday morning since my last home preg test turned negative (I tested very early and that too late in the evening after consuming half a bottle of water - Intelligent me!). This endless wait is unbearable!!!! But he also said I am most likely pregnant and need to be a bit more patient. So......... please continue praying for me and sending baby dust my way..

Hope i´ ve helped!

Take care!!

Hugs,
babysos

Hello sherry,
I´ m 4m september board, just read ur query, thought of giving my input on this..

Well I´ m being very postive here,n hope so its this..That this abdominal pain is ur symptom of pregnancy...Actually missing ur periods is the best symptom of being pregnant. But sumtimes pregnant ladies do get very early symptoms of pregnancy like breast tenderness, frequent need for urination, abdominal cramps.N hope urs is this one..

n regarding bleeding, this cud be ur implantation bleeding..ie after 7 days after ur ovulation, chances r there that if u have concieved u´ ll get a drop of blood on ur panties,n theresz nothing to scare abt this coz its called implantation bleeding,ie to tell it in a more scintific way ...It can happen at the time the fertilized egg implants in the uterus, on average between 6 to 12 days past ovulation. Unless accompanied by severe cramping, backache or increased bleeding, a small amount of blood being discharged should be considered as implantation bleeding which is nothing to be concerned about.
hope ur relaxed a bit now..n yes, during thsi time plzz try n avoid eating things which r heat.Try keeping ur body kool....
all the best, lemme know ur result...lotsa baby dust on u.
