Archie i have a question that i planned a India trip already and my tickets are for Jan.29th from chicago to new delhi nonstop flight(14 hours).i have to fly chicago from my place to catch that flight which is almost 2 hours. Is it advisable to fly such a long journey at this stage with a kid. What do u suggest for this trip?i am waiting for my blood result.
Thanks in advance.

Ritu,
Congrats ! I am very happy for your good news.
Take care about your flight. Generally in india people say not to travel at least for the first 3 months since it is the most crucial time for your baby and you. But see doctors in the US don't beleive that. They say you can travel .... I'd definitely ask your doctor before you travel such a long journey.

hi dear,

heartiest congratulations!!

Do consult ur doc regarding ur flight.

I request u to cancel ur going to India right now. Check with ur doctor and in case she feels tht u r fit to go on such a long time flight, then u can get set ahead.

take care and njoy ur pregnancy!!!

luv

Hi Ritu,
Congrats on your pregnency.
I feel its too early for a long flight journey.Recently a friend of mine travelled to India at 41/2mths and had a miscarriage coz of the long flight.Pls consult your doctor about this.
If you can postpone it further it wud be really nice:)
Enjoy!!!

Hi
Congrats on your Pregnancy.
Flying is not a problem, unless you are a regular flyer. An occassional flight will cause no harm to the baby. And the commercial airlines aircrafts have good radiation guard. So no problem.
Only concern can be your nausea, if you have any.

I flew to India and back to Australia, with no problems, other than bad nausea.

Do a bit of research on the Internet and will be assured.

Thanks
Rwitika
