i was a september due.....
got a miscarriage with heaving bleeding without any warnings.this was my first pregnancy.....doc said there might be several reasons for it to take place...still confused.....
my prolactin levels were a bit high before i conceived...so was on medication for the same ...doc said it might be one of the reason...does anybody have a similar experience ....
doc has said i shoud wait for atleast 3 months before starting to conceive.....
well i hope everything takes place fine after that...

Reshma,
How many weeks were you when you miscarried ? Did they see a sac inside? I've gone through this twice in the last 8 months. Once at 6.5 weeks and once at 5.5 weeks. After the 2nd time my doctor ran a lot of tests and now I am being treated by miscarriage specialist. If this is your first time... then your doctor may not do all the tests.
We ttc again now so let's see what happens.

Don't loose hope ! You will get pregnant again.

Blood tests

Yes. My doctor ran all of these tests and found that I have MTHFR. MTHFR can cause miscarraiges. I am now being treated by a miscarriage specialist. I take extra folic acid and vitamin b tablets.

Simba dear,

Has doctor checked for clotting factors like cardiolipin, protein-c, protein-s, MTFHR, etc. if not, you can ask him to include that. for some people who test positive, they are given blood thinning meds during pregnancy and they are fine. ofcourse you might not have any of those problems.
