Feeding:Bath time

Hi friends ,

Its not a feeding question..but I would appreciate if you all could tell me what all u use on the baby during bath time .
I normally give a olive oil massage and then bath with baby shampoo and body wash .

I heard from other friends about them using gram powder etc for hair and body ..do any of u use it . Would that improve complexion or make it soft ? let me know exactly what u use and how .

Thanks.

hi, whatever you are doing is good enough..dont do anyother thing than this,,this is all baby actually requires,,,
about gram flour pwder and all, its done only in the cases above 5months and onwards,,where babies have shown the sudden change in colour of skin..yes it does improve the texture of skin and also reduces the hair,,but personally i believe that baby hair arent that big to bother them,it protects their skin right now,,they need it ! no need to do those hazzlees..
i used gramflour paste for my daughters kneess when she started crawling,,they got abit chapped as she was fond of roaming on her four limbs in malls too,,,it helped and now i dont use that very often,,still it has kind of improved...if you want to use,,use it with gramflour,milk/water(enough to make it paste),chandan, and a lite sprinkle of turmeric,,,thats all it needs...
when you bathe him or her with this paste, dont bathe her with soap,,also make sure that you dont massage this paste on inner parts or private parts of baby,,as its not advisable. use soap to clean these parts,,nothing other than that..
use soap the other day,,the reason being, gramflour cleanses the skin,,,so you arent required to put soap again,,it will make his skin dry..
if water or milk shows dryness, you can use with homemade white butter...for whateverr you do, always take first hand recommendations from your elders as far as indian things are concerned,,to my notice recently, in some cultures, they say its not safe to use turmeric on baby...so you might want to respect that !

so hope this helps,
