Hi All,

My periods were due on dec30/by 1st jan.Still now no signs.Today morg did HPT it can -ve.bit mood if off.

What might be the reason for this delay,n -ve response.BTW Dr had taken my blood for checking prolactine and thyroid,Haven't got the results yet.

Pls let me know why this is happening.Never ever it was this late.everytime it was on time.

I was in a situation very similar to yours in spetember of 2005. my periods were delayed and i was really hoping that i would have a positive HPT that month. but nonetheless i kept getting negative HPT's. actually i had ovulated much later in the cycle and hence my periods were delayed. that month i didnt get a chance to actually use OPK's and check when exactly i would ovulate. my ovulation was delayed that month and doctor said that stress could and is the major factor in ovulation getting delayed.

In your previous message u said that ur BBt was more than 98. so i am pretty sure u ovulated but may be u ovulated later than u expected. so hang in there and repeat ur HPT after may be a couple of days. I hope u do get a positive result. goodluck.

it is normal for periods to be up to a week late when TTC. When TTC due to stress ovulation can be delayed and so your periods are also delayed. Some times apparently people do not ovulate at all due to the TTC stress.
For me before TTC till June last year I had a 31 day cycle. Now it is anywhere between 31 and 35 days. In fact this month it looks like I ovulated at day 28 .... so my periods will naturally be late.
don't worry too much. your periods will come if you are not pregnant.
