I am 29 and I have been trying for the baby since march 2005.Untill July 2005 my cycles were irregular and then visited Gync and she prescribed me provera and i got my periods.Also she prescribed me to take clomid 50 mg(she told me that I might not be ovulating since i didnt have regular cycles).After that I got my cycles regular but I didnt become pregnant.she then increased my Clomid from 50mg to 100mg and She constantly told me that i should be ovulating between 12th and 16th day of my cycle and to have intercourse when i see double lines in OPK.I have been doing the same.But no positive results.Last month I suspected that though i get two lines in OPK around 14th day of my cycle, I may be ovulating on 21st day.So i took blood test twice for my Progesterone level one after 7 days from 14th day and another after 7 days from my 21st day and Dr told me that my progestereone level was 2.7 during my first test and 17.4 during my second test...means i might have ovulated late like around 21st day also she told me that My ovaries might have released 2 eggs or I must be pregnant...!But I took HPT and the result was \";Not Pregnant\";.

Now, still I didnt get my periods(I am supposed to have it on Dec 26th) and my HPT says -ve. I am much disappointed.This is my 3rd cycle on clomid.

Also i am not satisfied with my Dr too.She is an Indian dr practices private...and she is not that proactive.

How long should i wait for my periods to come of my own? And shall i take provera again to induce my periods after 15th Jan?

Pls help me what questions should I ask my Dr?Because she never calls me to tell the results of Tests i take and she tells me my Progesterone level only when i ask for.do i need to change the Dr?
Also Is having sex alternate days is good while TTC? (from 12th to 23rd day of my cycle).My Dr says thats bad..!

Pls help me in figuring out what could be my problem?

you have many concerns of them nearly all are invalid. Not trying to upset but trying to explain.

Clomid is not miraculous drug for all. In some cases it works in first cycle while in some it takes six cycles of increasing dose and in a few it does not work at all. Also clomid has it's downside of getting vaginal environment dry, that can make sperms difficult to reach fallopian tube, but this depends on case.

Drug therapy is to improve ovulation not necessarily to assure conception. Do not mistake treatments. With clomid your Dr. is trying to make possible to ovulate in time. Since you are expected to ovulate around 14 -16 days she asked to plan intercourse around that time. I see nothing wrong in what's suggested and being treated.

about telephoning: it varies from Dr. to Dr. and clinic to clinic. They don't call patient always to tell results. At least none of my Drs. call with results unless there is something wrong in it. No telephone call from Dr. is always assurance of positive health. I have no doubt that your Dr. would call you if there is something to worry about. Try and trust your Dr.

Progesterone levels: your progesterone levels are higher and signifying you are most likely ovulated. Failure to get positive hpt does not necessarily rule out pregnancy.
Did you test with first morning urine? if not then you need to correct that.
Did you make sure strip was not over wet or under wet with urine because that affects antibody antigen ratio and inturn results.
If test is negative repeat after 48 hours. Sometime implantation takes place late and cause failure of test so repeating test after 48 hours is necessary.
Repeating test is sensible with increased progesterone than taking provera and loosing pregnancy if you have already conceived.

you should not take provera unless you have ruled out chances of pregnancy by blood tests. should not not get period in a week or so take a blood test for hCG and progesterone and know the truth.

Your Dr. to me sounds reasonable. I have met some girls here who belive in their Dr. and some who does not believe. I always like to tell to trust in your Dr. I have also suggested girls sometime to take second opinion if required, your case looks treated very normal.

Try to reduce stress and upsetness, which is affecting your hormones and mood.

What are the symptoms you are facing as far as pregnancy is considered?
do you experience enlarged breasts, you should with increased progesterone.
do you feel to urinate frequently than before.
how about veins on breast, are they clearly visible?
how about area around nipples is it darker and enlarged than before ovulation?
