now my baby is almost 1 year.till now mostly i gave her rice, dhal and veggis mashed with little bit of ghee and salt.some times ceral and sometimes reva kangi or ragi kangi.i give bits from my plate too.you can try sambhar and avial too.if you dont know the recipe of these i can surely tell you.
you can try vegetable soup.presure cook carrots, potatoes, beans, brocolli, peas, chana or any mixture of vegitables you like then put it in the blender and make it into puree, then add salt and ghee for taste.you can give it with rice too.but you baby is just 6 monts old there is lot of time to try new foods.you can tell me if you want any more specific food recipe,if i know i will surely tell you.
hope you and your little angel is doing great.take care.

This is how is usually make Rasam.
i grind up garlic, cumin seeds and pepper together and boil them in water extracted from tamarind add salt and cooked toor dhal.you can add tomatos also.for baby go light on tamrind ,salt and pepper.but according to my opinion you can cook rice dhal veggi mash and give them which is more healthier than rasam.but please refer your pediatrition before you start anything new to your child.
