Does your household have a monthly budget? What is the greatest challenge you face in sticking to a budget? How important is it to plan your finances?

Subject:  Need some help in budgeting

Hi,

I was really impressed by the article as i could releate to it very easily. I got married last year. My husband my husband' s family no one believes in making a budget. We are four people , me, me husband and mummy papa. Parents are retired. But the budget goes to over 30k every month. I have tried alot to make my husband understand the need of making a budget. But i failed. I know that I am right, but i dont know what to do. as till date mummy papa both manage the household my husband give his salary to them. So in my case it is even more difficult to make them understand to make a budget. Please suggest what to do.

In my family, we have some sort of family budget but we don' t really plan out every step. We simply do not have time to do any elaborate budget plans. Besides, who bothers to sit and log all their expenses. I would go mad in one month if I tried to do that.

Financial planning is a subject that has to be introduced right from school level. It is no point in giving an adult a salary and then expecting him to know how to spend it responsibly. Planning is something that will last you a lifetime.

I think it is very important to have a budget. When our parents were young, a budget was essential for the household. Even today, most elderly people keep track of their spending habits. This is how they survive on meagre incomes.

Finding Balance and Trust: Gamer Husband
I wanted to share a story from my own life that might resonate with some of you. After the birth of our child, my husband, who works incredibly hard to provide for our family, began occasionally playing at online platforms. Initially, I was nervous and unsure about how to handle this new development. I feared it might lead to conflicts or even bigger issues.

RE:Miserly In laws & Hubby
You are earning a good amount of money monthly and as you have said that your husband is also earning very well then why are you giving your money to him and why are you not questing him about his earnings as its your rights on it, please speak up on this.... - Suman [View Message]
RE:Miserly In laws & Hubby
According to me you should not act like this as this is really sad to see that your husband is treating you so badly infact you should make him understand that this is not the way you are asked to be treated and the same will continue then it will be bad for him.... - Anita [View Message]

RE:Miserly In laws & Hubby
If the husband follows the inlawas means its very clear that he will always listen to them instead to you, in this matter i can clearly say that you are not living the life you deserve and just helping your husband in his living and earning for him.... - Sujata [View Message]

Hello dear this is really weird behave of your husband towards you, please do one thing just speak to your husband directly and ask him whether he really loves and want to spend the rest of his life with you or not. Just go and ask him upfront and see the reaction on it.... - Anaida [View Message]
