Hi guys,
Got the folowing recipe from a dietician ( my friend who just completed MS nurtition and dietics for childrens ).
So thought of sharing it with u guys
Muthiya:
* 1 cup wheat flour
* 1 cup gram flour /besan
* 2-3 tbsp of all the other flours u hv at home like jowar, bajra, etc
* 2-3tbsp of raw
* vegetables:
* grated cabbage, carrot, bottle gourd, mashed peas, methi,palak,
etc there is no fixedd measurement..
* masala
* oil 1-2tsp
* yogurt 1-2tsp
Method:
* add all the vegetables to the flours, add sesame seeds, 1-2tsp
yogurt, salt, turmeric, sugar, 1tsp oil
* knead the dough it should be soft as roti dough..
* u might not need to add water as the water from the vegetables
will b enough..
* make small rolls and steam them for 15 mins..
* once done cut them in cirlces, season it with oil, mustard seed,
jeera seed, methi seeds and sesame..
Also she gave us some tips like to give 1 table spoon of wheat germ(KRETSCHMER honey crunch wheat germ u can get in stop and shop in pasta section i think)daily.Just sprinkle and mix raw in any food before giving it to ur kid.She also asked to make powder of almond and pista in the ratio 2:1 and sprinkle and mix 1 table spoon of the powder with any food u want to give to ur kid.I got these useful info from the seminar which she gave in our play group last week.So just wanted to share those details with u guys.Also she said that she will mail some more recipes soon.Will post once i get it.
