Hope all r doing fine. when i see older kids, i feel we'll need each other more & more as the years pass by, don't know if this oct2003 group will last forever here. I was just thinking to maintain a yahoo group... sometimes i have other topics to talk about too, but then i feel its too open here... i hope u understand what i mean. I can make a group and start adding whosoever is interested. u can leave ur email address here or u can mail it at babbar_manisha at yahoo com

There is a yahoo group that many of the people who used to visit the group are members of like Suni(oct board),Avi(Nov board) and me too.Thats an active board and I can ask the moderator to send u an invite if u are interested.
On the other hand if u are going to start a separate group count me in.My id is sushmitar at yahoo dot com.

And priya and radhika are right.This has been open for a while now and every new member needs to know about the other group if we create one. Radhika replied. have a prob manisha..which i now realize i could never chat before either when members had octobermoms active..work place does not allow us to.
yahoo site always has issues with our servers plus are watched on since its a known site.
Am not sure how else i can check on if not during the day..sorry if its a prob.

I agree that with the private group a lot more things can be discussed openly.
I ceratinly have to thank this open forum. It is through this that I got a chance to know you all.
These open forums would be very supportive & informative for new mothers/mothers to be.
My opinion is that the private forum can be used for more personal queries. One could still use this site to post general queries.
But one will have to make sure that all members are informed of the private group & it is kept active.

Priya Manisha replied. Thanks Kalyani for your quick reply and supporting the idea. I couldn't access the octobermoms group, may be bacause Suni was the moderator of that. So i had to create a new one. It is Indian_moms2003 yahoogroups com. I have sent you an invite from there, for becoming a member you'll have to accept that. I hope to have support from more people too, because i don't want to loose any of my friends here. Thanks

Used to fear the beard being wiped out..but think they have from 2001 so it will be here a while..as for yahoo group..think octobermoms is still valid account.
I can understand need for privacy though..saw this feature in this site itself..where u can have ur own private discussion board.

1) this ddiscussion itself
2) use octobermoms yahoo group
3) create our own private discussion group in indiaparenting website.

Once everyone gives in their opinions, we can then go ahead as all members wish..will ahve to inform members who come once a while manvi/bargavi etc. too.
