DEAR FRIENDS
I have twin boys and one of them is vommitting his dinner completely....i'm very much worried and afraid that it may be acid reflex symptom in him..is that so....i usually boil just little rice, more of dhal, carrot, spinach and beans and sometime alomnds and a block of butter in cooker and blend it soft and feed him....this entire week he vommitted...do u know in what consistancy i should give the food...do it have to be very soft or granule type...
actually his food comes out immediately after feeding or as i'm feeding...without getting digested...like its in the throat..its coming out...i'm very much worried...i live for my children only....i cannot see him suffer or miss dinner and lose weight because of this...is there a lot of time gap between his feeds...i don't know teh exact problem...he eats ragi in morning, gerber fruit in afternoon and dinner during night...pl. suggest me some other ways to avoid him vommiting and pl. suggest me some other variety of food..also...i'm just very much worried about it...pl. help me and suggest me friends.
thanks
regards
barathy.

Hey my daughter does it too, but she does it when shes full or over fed. Try to reduce teh quantity you give and also feed slowly, with couple of spoons of water in between. And some kids do it purposely becoz they dont want to eat and they r under pressure to eat. Also, measure his weight often and make sure hes putting on weight, which means hes not deprived of nutrition. If hes not then you need to be concerened as he is not able to keep his food down.

How old are your babies. My daughter had this problem since she was three months. And it gradually decreased by 15 - 18 months. Try taking him to a gastroenterologist. He may precribe tablets for a month or so. If it suits your baby and brings down the reflux, then you can continue with it. My daughter was prescribed Prilosec. As another person suggested, stop nuts for a while and try adding cereal (gerber instant cereals) to milk and give him. Normally babies with acid reflux won't vomit thickened foods or atleast the frequency of vomitting will be less. Please don't add too much cereal to milk too. Just make it thicker than what you would be feeding now.

Hi BARATHY ,

Dont worry. I think u should blend all this in a blender and mash it well. My son also cant take lumpy food and vomits it or shows action of vomiting .
I normally cook all the dal, rice and veggie together with lots of water and then i blend in mixie . I give it a bit thin consistency . Try this .
U can also give veggie soups , juices , make milk shakes with apple, banana, mango etc.

take care and love to the babies. What are their names ?
