Hi,

I have a 5 month old daughter.
She is detected to having mild seizure.
She is currently on medication since her 3rd month.
Can you give me some success stories of children who had siezures and are normal now.
We are kind of pschyed as seizures could be( not mandatory ) associated with slow learning.
Doctor says after the medication ( which is a min. of a year ) she should be completely fine.

My daughter is very active and has her milestones reaching pretty fast compared to the other kids.

Kindly share your thoughs of this.

There is nothing to psyched as my son had seizure on his ist bday with temp 104deg. --that was the first time , it came to us as a reality that he has a tendency of geting seizure with temp---well the foremost imp. thg to remember is -children who has ths --will overcome by age 3---or 5 the main reason behind is that there brain is not that develop to take the rising temp--which in turn triggers off the seizure --pls make sure that u always carry --anti convulsion syrup-n calpol,metacin --whichever medicine u give to ur baby-whenever u go out --sec--at ne case don't let the temp. shoot --these r precautionary measures ---only best advice io can give is take it in ur stride n be careful upto 5 yrs --n don't forget to have the fever n convulsion medicines near ur reach--

seems this is your 1st child and hey Docs are here to earn money from you for being worried so raise the child in the normal manner and have faith in God besides give nutirtious food Fresh Juices/fruits cheese Yoghurt etc and play as much as you can with playing they learn major things All the best friend

Hi,
Actually I would just love to get an idea s to how old is ur daughter,mine is now going to be 9 months,she was detected with the similar prob when she was 4 montsh old,and has since then been on medication,her initail eeg was not ok,but mri was fine.Yes she is very very active in all other respects,,but just recetly,,they told us that she is not able to stand to long on her own weight..so we shoudl start some phsyotherapy..welll we havent yet got a date for it,but well hvae u encountered anything like this..And if thsi is a bother plz ignore,,it,,its just that she is my firts child,and for me she is my whoel life..and I have a very desperatley curious nature,,to get assured that everything will be fine in time to come.
