My friends daughter has the same problem.they contacted dermetoligist and he has prescribed some ointment.and they found out that she is allergic to wheat products, soy products and foods containing eggs.so they avoided all these food and applying the prescription oitment and the kids skin is so much better.so please contact a good dermetoligist and find out what your kid is allergic to.

I also heard taking neem (tonic or capsules) and anointing with coconut oil or castor oil also helps relieve external symptoms.

Hi,

It is indeed extremely heart wrending to see your child go through so much pain :(. I have only one word of advice - resort to Ayurveda. My 1.5 yr old son suffers from mild eczema but at the time of his birth i had researched enough to conclude that there are much more effective medicines for it in Ayurveda than most allopathic creams. There are plenty of websites on-line where you can even consult physicians who can recommend solutions. Do a search on Google or Yahoo. Better still if you have family in India who can consult a doctor personally, go for it. All said and done, there are no side affects of anything in ayurveda and i sincerely believe your child will heal quickly.

As Barathy mentioned, please see a dermatologist. My baby has eczema too and the dermatologist prescribed Cutivate lotion to be applied on her, followed by Mymex cream and then a layer of eucerin cream. Believe me it's tough to see the baby suffering, but this medication helped my baby and it reduced the flares gradually. I still use the aforementioned medicines whenever the eczema flares up.

Dear Friend
Have u seen any dermatolist..in your area..your pediatricin will refer him for sure....
pl. go see a doc. and follow his orders strictly...ezema is a skin problem which will go away when the baby is 3-4 years old only...so pl. be careful with food..even a small amt of any foos, seasoning will cause allergy..she may be suffering from some food allergies also...be careful in using oils..and avoid non-veg if she is eating it...
so best is see teh doctor..pl. test her for all food allergies...and strictly follow doc. orders...
heard ayurveda medicine has a good cure for ezema...but i don't know if its true..pl. ask the doctor too...
doctors say keep the babies away from mosquitos bites...who are suffering from ezema...and whatever treatments u give ..it will stay and go away after 4 years of the baby's age its seems...pl. see a good skin specialist and test for food allergies and avoid the foods she is allergic for...
take care
regards
barathy.
