Rewards

Rewards for children should be such that it encourages them to perform better. It should not be too expensive. Age appropriate rewards should be given. Even a little bit of appreciation goes a long way in making the child happy. My kids get excited event on getting smiley stars and faces. Food should never be used as a reward.

I agree with you Prakash, children should be rewarded as they perceive rewards as appreciation. Children always want to be in the good books of their parents so they will do what is expected from them. Initially children will be good just for rewards but eventually they will learn the importance of good habits and doing work on time.

I think children should be rewarded for all the good deeds. this will encourage them to be good. children have sensitive minds and they like the appreciation of their parents. Rewarding children will boost their self-esteem but undue rewards are not good.
