I am 27..and trying for 2 years..Iam visiting an RE for fertility treatment currently...

I am confused with the blood work that they call me for....

Archie, pls let me know if this sounds right:
Oct 6: went for blood work: checked for Hormones, Thyroid and Chlamydia...All came normal

Oct 13: Cycle day 1

Oct 25: called for blood work. and had a Vaginal Ultrasound..all looked good

Estrogen:104
Progestrone:1.1
LH:18
Left Ovary:18 mm


Oct 27: called for blood work again

Estrogen:186
Progestrone:1.9
LH:54

Doc said u'll ovulate and did an IUI...So far it seems fine...they 've called me on Nov 4th to check progestrone.

Yesterday nurse called me and says i am Hepatitis C +ve they also tested me for HIV and Syphillis which are -ve...I am confused....What does Hepatitis C have to do with trying to get pregnant...I was never told that these tests will be done..

I hope my doc is not taking me for a ride.

Archie Pls let me know if the tests so far are fine and if this HIV, Syphiilis and Hepatitis tests are normally done.
