i have a 1 yr opld daughter she doesnt eat at all,she loves milk so i have to mix apparantly everything in the milk so she can have at least some nutrition.i give her complan, egg yellow, both mixed in milk.rice sh e likes to eat herself, but instead of eating she spills everythi g and gets disinterested instead .i mix vegetables and dal in wheat flour and make parathas out of it,so i can fold them thrice and the moment she is playing with the other kids around ,quietly give her one big bite so she can have a big chunk of it at one go.i sometimes make wheat pizzas at home with vegetable topping which looks attractive to her,for which she will try at least one bite.a mom has to do all these tricks ,no wonder you r a mom and the rest of the world can never match up to u

Hi priya,My name is Lakshmi and i have a 4yr.old son too.Same fussy eater and asks to feed him everytime.Don't worry.you can try giving him dosa, idlis, parathas, and rotis which is easier for them to pick and eat if you make small pieces of these and put them on his plate and then see the wonder works! For my son i do it the same way.He eats the above with only ghee and sugar. He doesn't like veges and fruits except bananas. He loves to drink (anything mixed with milk like boost,or nesquick etc.)but no milkshakes, and hates rice with veges and also hates icecreams and choclates!.Its definitely hard for me to feed him since i am also trying for a second one now.Good luck.

My daughter is only 17 months old, but I went through a similar phase sometime ago. Have you tried putting your son on a chair and distracting him with toys and books so that you can make him sit in one place and eat.

Also instead of rice, why don't you try other things he likes first so that he is happy to sit and eat and then try rice after a couple of days.

Good luck!
